Sometimes it seems one needs to be reminded how many self-absorbed mindless idiots there are in the world.
Now a word of advice to certain adults who should know better.
Here's a little reminder. You are not allowed to cycle on the pavement. No. No way, no how. It is illegal to cycle on the pavement. So when you come around the corner at speed, ring your bell, and expect pedestrians to get out of your way you are demonstrating your complete lack of worth as a human being. In no way are you justified to become vocally angry at said pedestrians if they do not comply.
You are not 10 years old. If you do not feel safe cycling on the road, get off and walk. At the very least realise that by cycling on the pavement you waive any right to common courtesy, and act accordingly.
(Yes, the traffic annoys me too. And Edinburgh isn't that busy, comparatively. I should move out of the city? But it's being here which allows me to walk everywhere I need to go.)
