Sometimes something happens on a morning which makes you wonder if you have woken up yet.

Having got in to the office, and had a cup of green tea, I was putting a CD into the drive to listen to while starting work. Put CD in drive, close drive. Wonder if CD was seated correctly, open drive.

No CD.

Eventually retrieved CD from between CDROM drive and casing, scratched beyond use. Oops.
